[WOHA Maps] Hex 01-2723 Dungeons of the Dragon-Lords CONTEST

Wilderlands of High Adventure
Campaign Map 1 Roglaras
Hex 01-2723: Dungeons of the Dragon-Lords
Those of you who look very closely at the arrangements of the ruins that make up the Dungeons of the Dragon-Lords may realize what existing adventure module I am using for the dungeons. I should note that as usual, I am not necessarily using everything in the adventure module, though I am using the maps and select elements, combined with select elements of the original adventure that inspired the published adventure.
That should be enough for someone to figure out the locale being used as the Dungeons of the Dragon-Lords...
The first person to correctly post in the comments the name of the published adventure module being used wins a free 5-mile hex map of your choice. You can choose one of the Wilderlands hexes from any region or even draw up your own for your own game, complete with ideas and/or details of what you want to see in the hex, and I will create a map for it in Hexographer.
Good luck!

  1. Awesome map! I will have to study this a while. Looks familiar but I can not put my finger on it as yet.

  2. This looks SO familiar but I can’t put my finger on it. Original adventure/ published adventure should be a big enough hint, but I’m stumped! Perhaps another clue?

  3. The main ruins on the eastern plateau are accessible via drawbridge from the western hill, where the bridge is guarded by a bastion.

    There are many dungeon levels below the ruins, as well as many lairs in the wall of the plateau, some of which connect to the dungeons within...

    1. Nope! Good guess, though.

      Here's another hint: Before I used it as a megadungeon ner the City-State, it had been near another city, a city that had been known by three different names at three different times in three different worlds...

  5. Greyhawk Ruins?

    1. Congratulations anonymous!

      Known as "Castle Greyhawk" or "Greyhawk Ruins" in TSR days, when it was near the city of Greyhawk;

      Known as "Castle Zagyg" when it was near the city of Yggsburg (and also the city of Dunfalcon in Lejendary Earth).

      And now known as the "Castle of the Mad Archmage"...

      The dungeon I am using combines elements of all these versions...
